Patients who have experienced tooth loss, damage, or decay require restorative dentistry
treatment to improve their oral health and function. Dental crowns and bridges
can be placed at our Seaford
or Wilmington locations to restore function and aesthetics to your smile. A dental bridge is used to fill in the gap left by missing teeth; the bridge can be attached to dental implants
, which are placed in the jawbone, or crowns, which are placed on the teeth adjacent to the gap. A dental crown can be used to support a dental bridge, replace a single missing tooth, or cap a damaged tooth. Dr. Paul E. Brown
and Dr. Christopher S. Baran
use durable, natural-looking dental crowns and bridges to restore your smile. If you have missing or damaged teeth and would like to learn more about your restorative options, please contact one of our offices

A dental crown can be used to protect a natural tooth that has suffered damage or decay. In a traditional crown procedure, the tooth is reshaped to make room for the restoration. Once the tooth has been reshaped, impressions are taken so we can fabricate a dental crown that offers a comfortable and secure fit. We can craft same-day crowns that are milled by our in-office machine during your appointment, or we can have our trusted dental lab manufacture your crown. In either case, we will create a custom, lifelike restoration that improves the appearance and function of your smile.
Traditional dental bridges consist of one or more artificial teeth (the pontic) designed to fill in the space left by missing teeth. In patients who have a traditional bridge placed, the pontic will have dental crowns attached to each side. The crowns are secured to your existing teeth to anchor the bridge in place. Like a traditional dental crown procedure, the surrounding teeth will have to be modified and prepared to accommodate the crowns. After the preparatory work has been completed, your dentist will take impressions of your mouth so our partner lab can create your custom-designed restoration.
Implant-supported bridges do not rely on surrounding teeth to hold them in place. Instead, dental implants are surgically placed in
the jawbone, where they will act similarly to artificial tooth roots. After your implants are in place, your custom-designed bridge can be attached, providing unrivaled strength, comfort, and durability for your restoration.
Your custom-designed dental crowns and bridges will be crafted from high quality
materials like porcelain or zirconia. We prefer these materials because of their highly lifelike appearance and ability to reflect light. We can have your restorations made to precisely match the color, size, and shape of your natural teeth for seamless integration into your smile.
